Mushroom Starters



This is one of my favorite.I had tried it in a nice italian restaurant and tried preparing at home


Its very easy and quick to prepare.

Ingredients
Button Mushrooms
Cheese
Olive Oil
Oregano
Basil leaves


Clean the mushrooms and remove its stem/stipe.
Take a pan and roast it on olive oil for not more than 1 minute and add oregano on it.

Remove it from the flame and stuff cheese inside it.Roast in Microwave till cheese melts..It looks like this:)



Decorate with basil leaf and serve hot

    Ash, here is another twist you can do. Use cream cheese(spreadable cheese) instead of regular cheese, and mix it with some precooked crab lumps(and any seasoning salt,pepper etc). Wipe down the mushrooms and dont cook them in oil.Instead stuff the mushrooms with the cream cheese+crab mixture and top with some cheese and bake them in oven(instead of microwave becos mw sucks the moisture out of msuhrooms).There is a restaurant in the US,Red Lobster,which serves this http://www.redlobster.com/images/menus_items/th/Seafood_Stuffed_Mushrooms_1296.jpg
